+ How long will my appointment take?

30 minutes for Hair Conditioning Treatment and Haircut or Blow dry
30 minutes for Clear Gloss and Haircut or Blow dry
1 hour for Color Gloss and Haircut or Blow dry
1-1/2 hrs for Single Process and Haircut or Blow dry
2 hrs for Balayage and Haircut or Blow dry
2 hrs for Base Color and Balayage and Haircut or Blow dry

Please keep in mind these times are approximate and thick, long hair & extra long require more time, sp please book accordingly. Price may alter upon check out.

+ How early should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment. We schedule appointments according to our specialists' availability and specialty. If you are running late, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Arriving late will likely limit the time allocated for your service; it will lessen the effectiveness and most importantly, your pleasure and enjoyment.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

Ubuntu Hair Studio is committed to providing all of our clients with exceptional service and we understand that schedule adjustments are sometimes necessary. We respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.

+ Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes! Gift certificates are great for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, as well as gifts for employees or business clients and can be customized to any dollar amount you'd like. Click here to purchase a gift certificate.

+ Will I receive an appointment reminder?

For your convenience we have an opt-in service for e-mail or text message reminders. Or we can call you in advance to remind you; whichever you prefer.

+ What can I use to hide the grey in between appointments?

We offer a concealer called Style Edit Root Touch-Up. It's a lightweight, binding powder that delivers instant, temporary coverage to unwanted gray roots. It washes out with shampoo, causes zero flyaways or dust, and works in just seconds!

+ What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash and Debit or Credit Card. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

+ No tipping policy? How does that work?

At Ubuntu Hair Studio we believe in working as a team. During your time with us, your service will most likely have all of our team members helping at different times. The idea behind no tipping is to save our clients from the confusion and discomfort of wondering who to tip and how much. We believe in pricing our services fairly and our primary goal is in delivering great service.

Some clients still want to leave a tip and in these cases, we pass the gratuity on to a collection of different charities. A mix of local and global organizations has been chosen, and for which we divide the gratuities and distribute evenly. Occasionally, we will flag a specific project to donate to, such as funding a volunteer trip. At checkout, we will inform you of the project and you are welcome to donate to it specifically, or to another of our chosen organizations.

+ What product brands do you carry? Are there travel sizes?

We carry a complete line of Rene Furterer and Nuema. We have chosen our retail lines based on their natural ingredients and high performance. Select travel sizes are available. Please contact us for more information.

+ What color line do you use?

All of our hair colorists are trained to use L’Oreal Professionnel color. Within the line there are options of non-ammonia, high lift, grey coverage, and tone-on-tone. The brands we carry include INOA, INOA Supreme, Majirel, Majiblond, DiaRichess, DiaLight and Luo.
