I am Because We Are
We at Ubuntu Hair Studio aim to shift the way consumers purchase beauty products and services. Our team is built on a foundation of community, passion, contribution and strength. Our studio is a place to successfully blend personal growth, family commitment, unimaginable careers, and vivacious health. We provide a spark to inspire unity and contribution and continually strive to uplift the lives of everyone that enters our business: clients, vendors, neighboring businesses and our community. Our business is a vehicle to affect a global change one client at a time and we are committed to making a global impact by setting our focus on contributing to humanity.
We hope to be the change we want to see in the world and ask you to join us. We do not live alone, but are connected in something much greater.
At Ubuntu Hair Studio, we strive to make social and environmental change through the small things that we do. Here are a few ways that your visit changes the world for the better:
Gratuities—or as we like to call them, gestures of thanks for great service—are passed on to charitable causes. We donate 100% of gratuities received to a diverse collection of organizations such as Feeding America San Diego, Kiva, Girls on the Run, Adams Thermal Foundation, and Care.org. A simple "thank you" goes a long way.
We use and stock only natural hair care products, those made from essential oils and plant extracts. Because just like a plant in fertile soil, beautiful hair grows from a healthy scalp.
As a certified Green Circle Salon, we recycle almost ALL of our waste! This includes hair, chemicals, balayage plastic, color tubes and caps, etc. A small $2 contribution is required upon each visit to continue with the success of this program and further reduce our carbon footprint.
Our experienced, independent stylists utilize only the finest products and the most advanced styling techniques to give you gorgeous hair. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, you will be delighted with the results that Ubuntu Hair Studio’s capable staff will deliver.
